Qatar - Human Development Report 2009 [English][Arabic].
"Advancing Sustainable Development - Qatar National Vision 2030" is Qatar's second Human Development Report. The report underscores major environmental challenges that Qatar faces and that need to be appropriately resolved, particularly achieving water security, reducing carbon emissions and increasing energy efficiency, and mitigating risks that threaten the safety of the marine environment. The Report argues that assessing the severity of risks and handling required change will entail mobilizing resources, coordinating efforts and putting appropriate policy and regulatory frameworks in place. It is published by Qatar General Secretariat for Development Planning.

Qatar - Human Development Report 2006 .
Qatar’s first National Human Development Report offers a study of the state of human development in the country and identifies a number of challenges for the future. Some of the problems are of an economic nature such as the reliance of economic growth on oil prices, a weak private sector to lead development and the demographic issue of a small national population and low economic participation by this population. Other problems are linked to the need to upgrade potentials in the field of education and training, lack of growth of the civil society and the role of democracy as an effective system in public life. The report offers a set of policies to address these challenges in each sector within an integrated framework and comprehensive developmental perspective.
